Dr. Caroline Korsten Messer, MD

An appointment with Dr. Messer feels like a meeting with a favorite friend who also happens to be an excellent doctor. From the moment you step off 5th Avenue into her offices, you will be met with the highest professionalism and courteousness. From the front desk staff, to the nurses, and of course with Dr. Messer, you will feel cared for from beginning to end and everything in between. Having grown frustrated from a previous lack of answers, I came to Dr. Messer for a second opinion hoping that she could get to the bottom of my issues. Thankfully she was able to investigate and diagnose my condition and put me on the path to optimal health.  Dr. Messer’s genuine care for her patients' health and well-being is evident in every interaction. Professional, friendly, and brilliant, you couldn’t be in more capable or compassionate hands.

Dr. Messer is kind, thorough, and invested in her patients' health, regardless of the etiology of the problem.

Very nice lady. However, she is misinformed about TSH, and does not investigate other tests, nor takes symptoms into account. I got better when I went to another doctor.

I like Dr. Messer. She was responsive and listened to me. I never got better with her, though. She lowered my thyroid meds based on TSH alone, and sent me into a hypothyroid state. I like that she's open to NDT's, but she is too reliant on TSH to make people better. I went to a different doctor who bases things more on symptoms, and can finally get out of bed!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Caroline Messer. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was able to help me with my problem and I will definitely be returning to her in the future.

Outstanding physician and person

Dr Messer, to me, is very uncaring and business like. Instead of trying to help, she blames every symptom on possible other illnesses, or recommends you speak to your primary care. She is very quick and brief on the phone which makes you feel like shes doesnt care. This doctor is not for me.

I saw Dr Messer today for the first time. I was SUPER IMPRESSED! She was VERY thorough, listened and explained everything. She even showed me pictures explaining what was going on in my vody. For a change I didn't feel rushed. Towards the end of my appointment she asked me if I understood everything that was mentioned. Wished I would have seen her sooner. Soooo happy I went there for a second opinion. She picked up on things that my prevoius doctor never did. She is officially my new endochronologist going forward. Keep up the good work!
