Dr. Joseph is a Shenango Valley native. He completed his undergraduate degree at Allegheny College in Mathematics. He then attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Joseph completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and then a Fellowship in Pittsburgh focusing on LASER Cataract Surgery and Minimally invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGs), including Istent. Dr. Joseph is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, receiving his certification in 2012. Dr. Joseph is the one of the few Ophthalmologists in the United States recognized for his excellence by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). In 2018 the ACS nominated Dr. Joseph as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) Dr. Joseph is also the first surgeon in Western, PA and Eastern Ohio to implant the PanOptix IOL (a revolutionary trifocal lens implant for cataract surgery) and the first surgeon to perform LASER cataract surgery in Mercer and Lawrence …counties.

The whole process of getting cataract surgery was very simple. I am seeing so much better and would recommend this to anyone. I didn't know how bad my vision truly was. Dr. Joseph was very calming during the process.

This is the nicest office staff wise that I've ever been to. From checking in to the visit with the doctor and checking out everyone was so friendly.

So happy that I can see. I have been wearing glasses since 2nd grade! Now I don't have to wear any glasses at all!! I told my sister to get this surgery when she is ready!!

There is such a huge difference driving at night since I had my cataract surgery. I just thought I was one of those people who couldn't drive at night, I didn't realize it was from the cataracts. I'm very pleased with the results of this surgery.
