Dr. Steven Larry Duckor, MD

Attentive, efficient, compassionate, thorough! What else can I say! Dr. Duckor was excellent in treating me with the best of care. He pushed tests through, made special considerations so I could know my diagnosis before the holidays. His staff was amazing, always kind and getting appointments for me with other procedures. I can't say enough about him and his office staff. Thank you!!! There is no one else I'll go to for GI. :)

I saw Dr. Duckor for the first time recently and he quickly realized that my symptoms were urgent and thankfully pushed an appointment for a colonoscopy through very quickly. He was absolutely right. I have colon cancer and it had been there for way too long. For my follow up visit, he was very compassionate and I feel that he is a trustworthy doctor and I rarely trust any doctor. I will definitely continue see him if possible.

I first visited Duckor for a colonoscopy. at the time I was unhappy with my previous dr who had replaced dr. Stewart’s retirement. Since dr Duckor was a Hoosier we hit it off great. Earlier this year, I experienced a serious medical emergency resulting in hospitalization. At the hospital, I came under the care of Dr. Stephen Duckor, and have no doubt that it was Dr. Duckor’s exceptional medical knowledge, skill and judgment that brought my own particular situation to a good conclusion. From the first day of my hospital stay through my discharge, Dr. Duckor was consistently engaged, attentive and continuously monitored my condition with the other doctors and nurses who were also providing care. Not only were my family and I greatly impressed by his care, but I saw that he is also held in high regard by his professional colleagues. Following my discharge from the hospital, I continue to see Dr. Duckor for regular follow up appointments and find him to be as genuinely interested in my health and progress as he was when I first met him at the hospital. In addition, the members of his office staff are both efficient and friendly. I’m truly grateful that he is my… doctor and I would recommend his professional services to anyone.

Dr. Duckor has provided me with great primary care for over 15 years. He is not only very knowledgeable, but also spends the time to fully explain the diagnosis and the proper treatment. 5 Stars

For most of my life, I’ve struggled with stomach pains that have interfered with my day to day life. By the time I was 20, I’d been seen by an internist and two gastroenterologists, none of which took me seriously. They never ran tests or attempted to ease my discomfort. I was on the verge of giving up on seeking treatment all together, until a friend of my mom’s recommended Dr. Duckor. I decided to give it one more shot and I am so glad I did. From day one, his main concern was relieving my symptoms while we ran tests to get to the root of the problem. I’ve been seeing him for about five years now and I’ve yet to have a bad experience. He’s always interested to hear what’s going on in my life, asks about my family and he genuinely cares about his patients. His office staff is great. They’re always friendly and helpful should you have any questions/concerns. There’s ample parking and the office (Orange location) is right off the 55 freeway and Chapman (next to Chapman Medical Center)… so it’s easy to find.

In the past, I have had a very bad experience with colonoscopy exams. My previous experience was so bad that I was truly traumatized (PTSD). I didn't want to have to go through that again. But my 60th birthday happened and I had to. I went to see Dr. Duckor with great apprehension. I have to say that my experience was incredibly efficient, the procedure was as smooth as I could have ever wished for. Dr. Duckor is, in my opinion, is very direct, very professional, and his organization took care of me like I was a guest at the Ritz. Great experience that put my mind, after many years, at ease that this type of procedure can be painless and well executed.

Dr. Duckor saved my mothers life! He was able to make the diagnosis quickly . I will never forget his care he gave my mother and his overall sensitivity..

Dr. Duckor is very friendly, informative, and gets you in and out in a very timely manner. Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Duckor is completely unprofessional and rude. I went into his office for the first time and the first thing he asks me is....."Why are you on Medi-cal?" with a condescending tone. I was completely taken aback and did not know how to answer. I responded and said "excuse me?". He then says "Medi-cal is for people right below the poverty line.". I honestly did not know how to respond to these comments and pretty much bit my tongue because I needed my appt to get a colonoscopy. He asks me a few questions and rushes me out of the room. Not one smile came from him and I was DONE with him. I spoke to one of the nurses about my interaction with him and requested that I be transfered to a different gastroenterologist for my colonoscopy appt. Can't believe doctors like him are allowed to work....I think it's time to retire.
