Dr. Steven G Spellman, MD

Dr. Spellman is fantastic. Several years ago he gave me my sight. Both surgeries and aftercare were superb. Visited again this week and had sight back in my eye almost immediately. Thank You to You and your team at Hampton Roads Eye Associates.

My entire family has been going to Dr. Spellman as far back as I can remember. My parents, siblings, sisters and now my husband and two precious daughters. In my opinion, Dr. Spellman is like family and certainly has helped my family and especially my youngest daughter more than I can even put into words. He is so smart, kind and a complete professional at his specialties. Dr. Spellman just completed my husband's cataract surgeries with expertise and he now has 20/20 vision in both eyes. When my day comes for cataract surgery, I want nobody else but him. ( He knows that, I told him) We can never thank him enough for what he has done for my entire family. This practice is warm and welcoming. He has a wonderful staff that I could brag on as well. If I could give a 10 star review, it would be right here. A huge thank you to our wonderful Dr. Spellman!

Everything I read about Dr. Spellman before having cataract surgery is true! He is thorough, educational, confident, and kind - all the things you want in a doctor. I had fast growing cataracts, and my eyesight declined rapidly over six months. I was anxious about what could be done, and Dr. Spellman put me at ease regarding the procedure, understanding my choices, and assuring me that all would be fine. I want to acknowledge his staff too - especially Danette - who took the time to help me navigate the decisions along the way. She was so helpful and reassuring as well. I am happy to report that I can see clearly now and am extremely grateful for Dr. Spellman and his staff. 100% recommended.

I have been a patient of Dr. Spellman for quite a few years for general eye care, but recently he has performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes and it is an understatement to say that I am thrilled with the results. I had cataract surgery on September 3rd with Dr. Spellman. The procedure was a piece of cake! The O/R staff was friendly and attentive. Dr. Spellman performed a fantastic job and I now have 20-20 vision in my right eye. I am not at all apprehensive about getting the left eye done now. Dr Spellman is a hero without a cape!

I was sent to Dr Spellman last year by my Primary Care Doctor (Jason Browder).. This was my 2nd visit to his office.. All my concerns about my Eyes & contact concerns were handled professionally .. I have astigmatism in my left eye.. Dr Spellman will be my Only Eyecare Specialist.
